The Come Out Festival has officially opened and Mrs Ey’s and Mrs Spencer’s class
was there to celebrate. The morning started with a brilliant performance at the
Adelaide Town Hall featuring Black Violin with Drums. The students loved
watching the classical violin turned into a remixed hip hop party. Students were
up dancing and cheering and the Adelaide Town Hall came to life. After the show
we ventured out to the Adelaide Festival Theatre where the student’s amazing
garden sculptures were on display in the Future Garden. Students and teachers
were very impressed with the quality and creativity of the sculptures and
enjoyed looking at what other schools had come up with. It was a fantastic
excursion and I was very proud to be a teacher at Flinders Park. The students
all did the school very proud. With the Come out festival coming to an end this
Friday make sure to check out the Adelaide Airport facebook page where you can
go on and vote for our plane. The school is really close to winning $500 for
our school. I have had so many comments from friends, family and the community
who have seen our plane at the airport and love it. Look out for the plane to
be making a final appearance in our school as a feature art work. Once all the
garden sculptures have been returned to our school we will be celebrating our
schools brilliant Come Out Festival season with our very own garden party. Be
sure to keep an ear out for dates and times soon to come.
